In the fall of 2020 my High School's sports teams were allowed to play, but only with an extremely limited audience. As the school's resident videographer, I was tasked with setting up a way for the games to be live-streamed on YouTube, as well as organizing a team to capture all of the games.
Although I had no experience in live sports prior, I learned and improved a lot throughout the season and by the end was consistently running high-quality streams, and editing together highlight reels afterwards.
Additionally, my team and I gave a presentation on our experience broadcasting school sports to the Michigan Association of Student Councils Regional Conference, in hopes of inspiring other schools.
At the State Conference thereafter, I received the 2021 Unsung Hero Award.
